I've received numerous requests for the Eagle model source file. Up until this point, I didn't want to share the
model because it was one of the only really cool things I have done in my life. Well, I'm ready to part ways with the model, and I'm making
it available for download.
If you do download the model, I have 2 requests that I hope you will honor:
- If you make any serious revisions, please send me a copy of the enhanced model. I am especially interested in a really good version of the
command module, which I can't seem to find the skill to craft. If you make a new command module, PLEASE send it to me in email.
- I would hope that you would cite me some credit for the work that you do when you use the model. It's not mandatory, but it would be nice.
Also, many people have asked if they can use the images on my website for their own use. The answer is YES, please feel free to use whatever
images you like for whatever purpose.
Well, here it is... Eagle Model (1 MB ZIP) RDS Format

I remember this Christmas morning as though it were yesterday! Oh well, those were the days when you could go
to a local department store and pick up an Eagle or two. Yes, that's me sometime in the 70's in my Miami Dolphins PJs. Click on the image for a larger version.

Welcome to the Eagle Transporter Launch Pad! This corner in Cyberspace is dedicated to
the beautifully engineered and graciously practical Eagle Transporter, the work horse
from the science fiction television series Space:1999. The images presented here are
three dimensional models which have been rendered using Ray Dream Studio. Please enjoy
these images that I have created, and if you like them, let me know! I know it's been awhile
since I have worked on this page, I hope to add a few images here and there over the summer
months.

Space:1999 Eagle Transporter |
The Eagle Transporter models on display here were created using Ray Dream Studio. The
model itself is approximately 3MB in size. I first started this project with a 80486-DX4/100 and
16MB of memory. Since then, I have upgraded to a Pentium 166 with 96MB of memory.
The Eagle Transporter model has taken approximately 140 hours to
complete, I still need to work on the detail work with the command module. The entire
model was developed using screen captures from the television series, roughly 90 of them,
from every possible angle. I have since discovered more detailed images in Cyberspace,
some from people who actually contructed a physical model. I have refrained from using
their work in refining my model. Enjoy the images, and let me know what you think!

New Model Kits! |
The Eagle Transporter and Moonbase Alpha models are available once again! You can find
these models at Phoenix Model Company. I don't remember the original model, but these are really
nice. Here is what the unpainted version looks like. Stay tuned, I'll be detailing this model soon.

Eagle AVI Files |
Here are two AVI videos of the Eagle Transporter. The first is a simple "fly-by" of the
rescue Eagle, and the second is an Eagle on landing approach which begins to loose
control. Due to storage limitations, I will probably not be developing many more AVI
videos in the future.
Rescue Eagle Flight AVI 430K eagle01.zip
Eagle Loosing Control AVI 627K eagle02.zip

Eagle Images |
The following images were rendered using Ray Dream Studio. It was my intent to create
scenes that presented certain challenges, as well as scenes which would be encountered
in the television series. The two new images were rendered using photographs taken from the recent
Pathfinder missions to Mars.
